Ph.D. Candidate
Louisiana State University
Dept. of Biological Sciences

After receiving my Bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University where I also worked in IT and computing, I joined the Brown Lab in 2019! My PhD research has focused on tackling the sources of gene tree variation, and how we can best detect and account for it in empirical data! Particularly, my work has focused on investigating the presence of gene tree discordance in mitochondrial genomes, as well as using novel exploratory methods to help resolve the phylogenetic placement of Red Pandas in the Musteloidea family.
